Thanks. I'm not dead but my computer was. My problems with it and the repairs only
mounted the last two months. It's a sad story of dying hard drives, defective repairs
that required my laptop's return and even a failed flash drive. Nevertheless, with
the help of recovery software, things are almost back to normal. My computer was
substantially upgraded and I am becoming familiar with a whole new batch of software
running on Windows Vista 64! All of this has slowed my revision of my website, but
I am a lot closer now and hope to have changes and new artwork posted by Thanksgiving.
Thanks again to all who are checking in. In fact, I will send an announcement when
everything is up an running to all those who have given me their e-

Well folks, sometimes the fates are against you. I am not ill. In fact, I've had a pretty good summer. My computer, unfortunately, has not fared as well. It actually caught fire a few weeks ago. Luckily, I had backed up my files to an external hard drive. I plan to replace my laptop, but money is tight and I may not be able to do so until the end of August. Plans include updating and improving both of my websites in September with an explanation of all that's been going on. Enjoy the rest of your summer and check back then, and thanks for asking!

The most recent painting of the week looks much better in color. Maybe it would look better in person in the black and white.

Thanks. We are extremely proud of Brad. He's on track at this point to become an Eagle Scout by the end of the year, just before his 18th birthday. I am very happy he decided to follow through on that. I am an Eagle Scout too and I wouldn't trade my experience in the Boy Scouts for anything. I think it has been a similarly valuable experience for Brad too, and in ways he may not realize until much later.

Hope you are feeling better. I know your son. He is a special young man. You must be very proud of him.

Thanks for your comments. I have been ill pretty much the entire month of May, but I seem to be getting over it and am turning my attention back to my artwork. I hope to have new work up and posted along with a new and improved website design in place.
I donated several of my photographic prints to my son's Boy Scout Troop auction last year, as I have been doing for several years now. I will probably donate additional prints next year too. Meanwhile, note that the prints you purchased and others are and will be available for sale on my website. If you do not see what you are looking for now, check back in a couple of weeks and see if it isn't posted in the gallery then. Feel free to contact me directly if you have questions, and thanks again for your interest and purchases.

Back in Febuary I purchased a beautiful western landscape picture from a boy scout auction in Memphis Tennessee. I have been meaning to write to tell you how much we have enjoyed looking at it. We recently remodeled our bathroom in a western theme and it looks beautiful in there. Will you have any more of these pictures available at the auction next year as I would like to have a group of them to hang together. I try to attend that auction every year. I really enjoyed looking at the pictures on your website. You are very talented.

Hi Bob,
I just met your wife Diane this week. My wife Deb and I were witnesses for our 2nd cousin's will. Diane suggested we visit your site. Your site and your work are very nice. I particularly liked the photo of the backlit flag in the middle of the sidewalk in small town America. I envy your PR firm aka Diane. She's the best promoter.
Best Regards,

We bought "Rock in Stream" when we lived in the Pittsburgh area and have continued to enjoy it over the past 8 years. Was delighted to see it featured in the archive section. Love the web site and will revisit. Linda Espenshade

Bob,
Thanks for the tour of your site! Great job! I noticed you have "loosened" up a bit from some of your earlier works which is something I'm in the process of doing now. Right now all I have up are my cards on my site which consist of numerous photos and a few paintings of mine. My favorite mediums include oil and pastels but I'll be trying out some acrylics in the near future. Great job! I enjoyed all your pieces.

Bob,
Thanks so much for the postcard about your Earth and Sky viewing. Your work is wonderful. We love it. I will hint to the wife about a possible gift of one of your paintings. We like your Eastern and Western landscapes, having lived in both parts of that countryside.

I really like what you've done to your website. Looks really nice. Maybe you can show me how you did it. Thanks for mentioning me on your page! That's cool!
